Don't Let The Past Hold Us Back From Living In The Here And Now

Do not let the past hold us back from living in the here and now.

It is really important right now to stay out of controversy.

In the 12 step program a few things we learn are:

How important is it to be right?

Do I want to be right, or do I want to be happy?

I remember early on in recovery, I learned I could be invited to a fight, but I do not have to participate. Another example is, a hook could be baited, yet I do not have to bite.

It is very important to hear other people's views and have understanding.

Because we do not always know what someone's path has been.

Or where there has been a great deal of pain or what they have had to go through.

Society has rules we do not think about, clearly we do not think about, you often hear some of the rules.

  1. You can not have anything wrong with you.

  2. If you do, get over it fast.

  3. If you can not get over it fast, pretend you do.

  4. If you will not pretend, drop out.

  5. If you do not want to drop out, at least act ashamed when you are around others.

This is a false self of the public image.

We need to get over this.

There are some obstacles where we need to be authentic with each other.

Be there for one another and hear one another out.

Having compassion will build unity for humanity, and then we can reach harmony.

We need to open our eyes and be there with a common bond, and that is living life to the fullest.

If you have enough for yourself, share with others.

If you plan on growing a garden this year, plant enough and share with your neighbors, share with your family, share with your friends.

There is enough. Do not let that stuff spoil.

We are here to be shoulder to shoulder.

It is time to be there for one another.

Rising together, we will make it through this.

I have faith in humanity. I always have and always will.

I am going to be stepping it up and will meet you there, joining hand in hand!

I am sending you lots of love from my heart to yours.

xoxo
