Make Golden Milk with Me

Have you heard of Golden Milk? It is rooted in Ayurveda and it's a great addition to your nightly routine. These warming and calming spices mixed with your choice of milk will calm your mind, soothe your body, and make your eyelids heavy!

Here's a super easy concentrate to make that will last up to 5 weeks when stored in your refrigerator.

Golden Milk Concentrate

Tools:

Small Saucepan

Airtight Container (my favorite is a small canning jar, the 4 or 6oz jelly jars)

Whisk

Ingredients: This is just a balanced starting point, you may find you want to increase certain spices. Personally, I triple this base recipe for our family of 3 and share a couple containers with friends)

1/4 cup Powdered Turmeric

1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon Alcohol Free Vanilla Extract

1/4 teaspoon Cardamom

1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

1/2 inch Fresh Ginger (grated)

1/4 cup Coconut Oil

1/2 cup Water

Steps:

1) In your saucepan mix water and powdered turmeric (bring to a light simmer)

2) Add all other ingredients (except the coconut oil) and gently whisk for the next 3-5 minutes.

3) Add the coconut oil and continue whisking

4) Remove from heat and transfer the paste to your airtight container.

5) Store in refrigerator for up to 5 weeks.

Make Your Cup Of Golden Milk:

In a saucepan

Mix 1-2 tablespoons of Golden Milk Paste

with 1 cup Milk of Choice

Top it off with some extra Black Pepper or Cinnamon

Heat, Whisk, Enjoy ❤️
