We need each other. We need to slow down in our busy lives, be kind to those on our path, and recommit and be present in our daily activities.
When I go out, I have been experiencing long lines in stores, yet I see kindness and connection. While so many are in line and distanced apart. I have noticed that people are talking, acknowledging one another, and laughing again! Unity!
Let's bring back random acts of kindness and service! Look and find the things we have in common: music, art, community, anything for the common good.
We have a long way to go, yet, I will continue to commit to practicing taking my inventory before someone else's. None of us are perfect, and trust me; I have a lot of room to grow as we give each other the Grace to grow at our own pace.
I can ask myself, what am I bringing to the party of life? Am I bringing Healing? Understanding? Mending? Compassion? Unity? Am I adding to life and connection?
Am I gentle with people who are sandpaper angels? (Those that rub me the wrong way) Do I bring gossip and character assassination? Am I divisiveness and bring discord? Am I only looking out for my selfish ways? Do I bringing up topics just for an argument to feel superior?
Or am I a peacemaker? Am I a kind human being? Am I treating others how I would want to be treated? Can I say, "God, Higher Power, Spirit, etc. Treat me tomorrow how I treated others today." Let's join this eye-opening journey together. We are all in this, together.
