Sound Healing is a therapeutic field rapidly taking note by modern medicine and science due to its effective applications. Because we are vibrational beings, healing occurs through the effect of the appropriate application of intentional sound or the expression of unfelt emotions. Sound healers use voice, musical instruments, and modern technology to affect change in our well-being.
Sound has been used as a healing catalyst throughout human history, across cultural bounds. Whether the nomadic shaman, the Tibetan Lama, Christian, Islamic, Hindu, African or Jewish priests, musicians, or cantor. Sound has been found to carry us closer to what we hold as sacred, and to what, we view as whole. Indeed, "to be whole" is the very meaning of "healing." Sacred singing, mantras, chanting, toning (sounding one's unfelt emotions or improvised sounds expressing emotion). Sacred Sound (touching the deeper consciousness waiting to be found and expressed,) entrainment, shamanic drumming, music therapy, the use of clear intention, communication, and mindfulness all have a growing body of scientific foundation as to their effective use in the healing continuum of body, mind, and spirit.
Today, practitioners incorporate voice, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, bells, gongs, tuning forks, drums, chanting and toning, vibroacoustic tables and chairs, Cymatic therapies and scopes, composed and intuitive or improvisational music in a variety of therapeutic modalities, often incorporating traditional therapeutic models, each focused on conscious intention, and mindful expression, creating an environment for healing, wellness, and growth.

This class is a 12-hour intensive, whether you are new or practiced, with an in-depth approach to principles and the use of Sound Healing with some Ayurveda and Angel Therapy. This unique blend gives your practice the structure in which to navigate through using your own intuition and guidance to work with Sound Healing. We are all Uniquely Divine Vibratory Beings that all need to work and play together in the Orchestra of Life. You not only learn or re-member Sound Principles. This will be a 12-hour course over two days
6 hours per day with an hour lunch break.

Doug's Journey with Sound Healing
Doug Parvin began his journey into sound healing when he was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2003. He needed to find a way to reduce stress and a way to reach states of deep meditation to allow his body to heal. Having always been interested in how music and sound have a profound effect on the overall emotional body. Sound was the answer. While playing a single Crystal Singing Bowl, he was able to reach deep states of meditation, which in turn reduced stress and not only allowed his body to heal but facilitated an awareness of his own life's purpose. In 2006 Doug was released from doctor supervision and began his journey into Ayurveda to maintain his health. Since then, he has continued to study, experiment, & play with crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, didgeridoos, Shamanic drumming, vocal toning, specific frequencies, and frequency sequences. He has also become a Certified Hypnotherapist, Angel Therapist Practitioner®, Past Life Reader, Reiki Practitioner, Yoga of Recovery Counselor™, Minister, Member of the Sound Healers Association, and not to mention Sound Healing Practitioner. Doug and his lovely wife Brigitte and their daughter Noelle are staff members for Radleigh Valentine, hand-picked by Radleigh himself. Doug has also been trained by Jonathan Goldman, Dr. John Beaulieu of Bio Sonics, and many others. He continues to learn and practice with many different healing and sound modalities. Doug loves to share all he has discovered in his Sound Healing Workshops and Classes with lots of Enthusiasm. His main goal is not only for health and wellness for himself but to share what he has learned along the way.
